IT Reality Check

Staffing Industry Analysts drew our attention to a new quarterly survey from TEKsystems’ called the IT Reality Check survey.  In short, temp IT hiring is rising, but full-time also on upswing.

Notable takeaways:

• The recent survey took place in September and included more than 200 IT leaders, including CTOs, IT vice presidents, IT directors and IT managers.
• 42 percent of IT leaders reported an increase in temporary hiring so far this year (up from 36% last quarter).
• 37 percent of IT leaders reported increases in full-time hiring (up from 35% last quarter)

The third quarter closed with an uptick in hiring for both full-time and temporary workers, indicating firms are likely staffing up to make a last push at fulfilling important business initiatives.”
